Let us know where the chip sits on the windshield, its approximate size and whether any lines extend from it. Mention if it is close to an edge or within your normal view of the road. A clear photo from outside the vehicle can help begin the conversation without needing technical names for the type of damage.
Some damage may be a candidate for repair; other damage calls for replacement. The size, depth, location and condition of the affected area all influence that decision. A description or photo is a useful starting point, but it cannot establish every detail. We will not promise repairability from a size comparison alone.
Ask what a repair is intended to address and what may remain visible afterward. A repaired area is not necessarily invisible. If your main concern is a mark in your line of sight, say so before approving the work. Understanding the likely result helps you choose between the available options for your particular windshield.
Send your year, make and model with the damage description, and tell us if the crack has spread since you first noticed it. Service is performed in-shop in Ontario. Call before driving over to confirm availability and assessment arrangements. If repair is unsuitable, ask about replacement glass and any equipment-related requirements so you can plan the next step clearly.
A useful chip-repair inquiry includes a close-up photo and a wider view showing where the damage sits on the windshield. Tell us when it happened and whether a crack has extended from it. Size alone does not establish whether a repair is appropriate; the location, depth and condition of the glass also need consideration.
Repair is intended to address suitable damage, but it does not guarantee an invisible result. Ask what appearance to expect and whether replacement would be the better choice for your windshield. A final assessment may require seeing the vehicle rather than relying only on a photo.
